The lawsuit claims that Class Members suffered injuries by the Government of Sudan’s military, security services, police, or militias, including the Janjaweed. If you formerly lived in Sudan or South Sudan between November 4, 1997, and December 31, 2011, and have refugee or asylum status in the United States, you may:

Seek Money Compensation for Your Injuries and Losses by choosing to be part of the lawsuit as a Class Member (called “opting in”);

OR

Ask to be Excluded (called “opting out”) and not be included in the lawsuit at all and not receive any money that may be awarded. To bring a separate case against BNP Paribas, you must find a new lawyer or proceed without a lawyer, and you may need to file a new lawsuit within two days of asking to be excluded.

OR

Do nothing. Stay in this lawsuit and await the outcome. If you are in the Class and do nothing, you will be bound by any final judgment, but you will not receive any money compensation from the lawsuit if you do not opt in, and you would not be able to bring a separate case if you do not opt out.

The button below has separate forms for each of these choices.
